FAQs

Can I place a custom or personalized order?

Please send an email to wayfarerswicks@gmail.com to discuss any custom orders or via the Contact Us tab above. If you want to place a wholesale custom order, see question below.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes I do! If you are interested in showcasing our products on your shelves or would like bulk orders for events like baby showers, weddings, etc., please send an email to wayfarerswicks@gmail.com or inquire via the Contact Us tab on the top of the page. Wholesale or custom orders are completed through email.

Wholesale orders for retailers require a signed Terms and Agreements form as well as a signed Order Form.

Wholesale prices depend on the desired product. For large, wholesale custom orders, non-refundable deposits covering 50% of the total cost will be charged upfront before processing the order. Invoices will be sent via PayPal. Buyer is responsible for all shipping & handling fees and sales tax. Final amount will be charged upon pick up/shipment via PayPal (for in person pick ups, check is also acceptable for final payment).

Where do you ship?

Currently all 50 U.S. states, including Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. Unfortunately I do not offer international shipping at this time.

How long will my order take to ship?

The processing time on most orders is 3-4 business days. Wholesale or custom orders will vary. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking email. Shipping time depends on current transit times at the USPS/UPS. All USPS orders are shipped via Priority 2-Day Mail.

What does shipping cost?

All orders below $100 will have a $8 flat rate shipping fee. Order $100 and over qualify for free shipping. Wholesale and custom orders do not qualify for free shipping.

Help! My package is lost!

If you are expecting your package and have not received it yet, please check the tracking information to see the latest updates with the carrier. If your package has been marked as delivered and you still do not have your order, first check all other entryways to your property, neighbors, and the leasing office (where applicable) to see if anyone received it by mistake. If there has been no tracking updates for at least two days, please contact me at wayfarerswicks@gmail.com.

I placed an order but I haven't received my confirmation email and/or tracking information yet.

Sometimes emails can take a little bit to arrive, which may be the reason for the delay. Also, be sure to check your spam folder. If by the following day you do not receive said emails, please contact wayfarerswicks@gmail.com.

How do I take care of my candle?

Your first burn is the most important burn. To avoid tunneling, burn your candle for at least 2 hours to make sure you have achieved a melt pool from edge to edge. Burn your candle on a flat surface.

Keep the flame away from any drafts and never leave lit candles unattended.
Trim the wick to 1/4" before every burn. This ensures a clean burn every time, increases the candle's lifetime, and provide a better scent throw.

Never leave wick debris/trimmings in wax.

Never burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Burning for at most 4 hours at a time maximizes its lifetime and you still get a great scent throw... & longer burns lead to more carbon build up.

Discontinue use when you reach about 1/2" of wax at the bottom.

I don't like the scent I ordered. Can I get a different scent?

As long as the item has not been used or burned, you can return or exchange your item. See below question for more info on our return policies.

What is the return, refund, and damage policy?

If the products are defective or damaged, you are eligible for a refund or a replacement. In the case of a replacement, the item cost will be waived but customers are responsible for any return label costs.

For any unwanted items, the product can be refunded for the amount of the original product but return shipping costs will be the customers responsibility. If the candle has not been used or burned, we do accept returns. Custom orders, items on sale, or used products are not eligible for returns or exchanges. If returned items are not returned in their original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

To qualify for a return, exchange, or refund, contact me within 14 days of delivery date. Please ship any items back within 30 days of delivery. Window to request a cancellation is two days from purchase date.

Please contact us for more info. In any event, please be advised that submitting photos of damaged or defective items will be required.

Are your items eco-friendly?

I try to be as eco-friendly as possible without increasing cost of supplies. Most of my products - with the exception of wax melt plastic clamshells - are eco-friendly. However, the clamshells are recyclable under code 3, which is accepted by most curbside services.

All soy based candles sold here are made with U.S. grown soybeans and all fragrances are phthalate free, clean, and does not require any Prop 65 warning. Packaging is plastic free. The packing tape is made with paper and uses a water-activated adhesive. The packaging peanuts used to cushion are comprised of corn starch and is biodegradable, compostable, and dissolvable in water. Finally, all candles are wrapped in recyclable Kraft brown paper to aid in protecting your items in shipment.

Can I reuse my jar?

Yes! The easiest way to clean out jars is to scoop out the remaining solidified wax and wash the jar with warm, soapy water. I personally use rubbing alcohol as well to remove any remaining residue. If you plan to use the jar for food or drink, please wash the jar more than once to ensure the jar is safe from any oils or wax.

I want to reuse my jar but I can't take the labels off.

No problem! Instead of trying to peel the paper based labels off, soak the jar in water for 5-10 minutes. After this time, the labels should easily peel off. If there is any adhesive residue left on the jar, use the abrasive side of a sponge to scrub off the remaining residue.
