The New Jersey Pinelands is considered the biggest remaining part of the Atlantic pine barrens coastal ecosystem. Fun fact about the Pine Barrens: it is so large that it stretches across 1.1 million acres and seven counties in south Jersey (about 22% of the state of NJ)! The Pine Barrens are a great place for outdoor activities, like camping, hiking, and hunting the Jersey Devil, and also makes for a beautiful landscape year round.
